1. PILES are the result of weakness of the veins around the RECTUM or continuous CONSTIPATION and positive family history of Piles in other family member.
2. The PILES may be present with or without pain and with or without bleeding during passing stool.
3. EXTRA unnecessary effort to pass stool during defecation also may cause PILES.
4. Patient should use laxatives (to remove constipation) local application around the rectum on affected part.
5. Take plenty of water in whole day and drink 1-2 glass of Luke warm water in early morning on empty stomach after just arising from the bed.
6. Do some light exercise daily for 10-15 minutes to avoid constipation and smooth passing of stool.
7. Do not eat high oily, spicy food items, which are heavier to digest normally.
8. Use green leafy vegetables, seasonal fruit, bananas, beans, and other food materials which are rich with ROUGHAGES like
· Chokar (Grind wheat)
· Orange
· Pine apple
· It is more found in vegetables, fruit & grains.
Roughages or fibres may also have role in weight reduction, however its role in gallstone, coronary heart disease, hypertension & bowel disease is not well established.
9. Sleep early in night but wake up early in next morning. Night watching should be avoided.
10. PILES or HEMORRHOIDS are lifestyle related and based on family history also, so organize your daily schedule well managed, give proper time to mental as well as physical rest.
